The Lifeline application process is easy. Eligible customers can apply for the Lifeline program through the Federal Communications Commission or the Lifeline provider’s website.
In the first step of Lifeline application, you will need to confirm you qualify for the Lifeline program. After you qualify, choose a phone or internet company near you that offers the Lifeline benefit and sign up for service with them. You can also ask your current company to apply your Lifeline benefit to a service you are already getting if it offers the Lifeline benefit.
Lifeline is a federal program dedicated to making phone and internet services more affordable for low-income households. This benefit provides eligible consumers with a monthly discount of up to $9.25. Consumers living on Tribal lands are eligible for an enhanced discount of up to $34.25 per month.
