The Emergency Broadband Benefit Program (EBB) was a government assistance program during the COVID-19 pandemic. Millions of Americans were given access to the internet and 4G/5G devices. During the COVID-19 epidemic, this program was created to help students and low-income people stay connected to distant educational learning, medical support, and daily connectivity.

The Emergency Broadband Benefit initiative was replaced by Congress’s new program. It’s a long-term program with funding of $14.2 billion called the Affordable Connectivity Program. This program launched on December 31, 2021. It ensures that broadband affordability will be readily available to people like Emergency Broadband Benefit Program.

Despite the fact that the EBB program is no longer operating, the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) has been developed in its place. ACP is performing very well for the purposes of EBB in the past.
